Debug, trace tool targets ARM Cortex-M family

Safety-critical specialist distributer Phaedrus Systems is now selling the Lauterbach, µTrace an all-in-one debug and trace product for the ARM Cortex-M family. “The Cortex-M is a very successful family, being implemented in many different chip designs,” said Chris Hills, Chief Technical Officer of Phaedrus Systems.

He added, “The µTrace, while supporting JTAG, Serial Wire Debug and JTAG, can also exploit the Instrument Trace Macrocell and the Embedded Trace Macrocell, where these have been implemented. And it is driven through the powerful TRACE32 modular development tool’s high performance interactive user interface. And all this at a very attractive price.”

“Phaedrus provides its customers with the specialist support and tools in the complex safety-critical market,” said Barry Lock, UK Manager for Lauterbach. “This makes them an ideal partner for the µTrace.”
