SMD crystal for wireless communications is shock-resistant

Specifically designed for use in wireless communications such as handheld transmitters, the SMD02502/4 series SMD crystal has been announced by PETERMANN-TECHNIK. The small crystal is supplied in a 2.5×2.0mm ceramic housing with four solder pads.

Operating over a wide frequency range of 12-125MHz, the SMD02502/4 series features extremely high shock resistance, a low price and exceptionally low resistance of 0.5Ω. This low resistance ensures that an excellent oscillator safety factor can be achieved. Operating over a temperature range from -40 to +125°C, the SMD02502/4 has 8ppm crystals which ensure that very narrow-band transmission solutions can be realised.

The SMD025202/4 is currently widely used in transmitter ICs by Melexis, Semtech, Micrel, STMicroelectronic, Infineon, Texas Instruments, Silicon Labs and many other manufacturers of transmitter ICs.

With standard aging of ±3ppm per year, the SMD02502/4 SMD crystal from PETERMANN-TECHNIK is supplied in tape and reel from (3,000 pieces per reel).
