Software options add versatility to USB data acquisition devices

Four new multifunction USB data acquisition devices with sample rates up to 500 kS/s have just been added to Measurement Computing’s low-cost USB-200 range. The new USB-202 and USB-205, each in module or board only format, are available now in the UK from Adept Scientific. The USB-202 and USB-205 feature eight 12-bit analogue inputs, two analogue outputs, eight digital I/Os and one 32-bit counter input.

Sampling rates are 100 and 500 kS/s respectively. Each is available as a plug-in module or as a board only version for OEM use. The latter are designed for embedded applications and feature header connectors instead of screw terminals.

Included software options for the USB-200 Series are extensive and include out-of-the-box TracerDAQ and DAQami for quick and easy logging and displaying of data, along with comprehensive support for Visual Studio and Visual Studio .NET, DASYLab and NI LabVIEW. Also included is Measurement Computing’s DAQFlex open-source software framework which provides support for Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. New Android support allows users to develop DAQ applications that run on tablets and smartphones.
