AEG Power Solutions Wins 240MW Solar Power Plant Contract In Eastern Europe

AEG Power Solutions opens the year by announcing a major contract with a large Western European EPC. This deal is the third large solar contract in Eastern Europe that the group is awarded. It covers photovoltaic utility scale equipment and services for 240 MW. AEG Power Solutions will provide complete electrical systems for nine photovoltaic power plants in Eastern Europe.

The solution includes solar inverter stations based on TKS-C containerized outdoor stations, including latest generation central inverters, transformers and medium voltage switchgear and the most comprehensive monitoring and supervision system (PV Guard) provided by AEG PS’ subsidiary, skytron energy. AEG Power Solutions will deliver and commission the equipment on site.

The entire project will be delivered this year, which is a major challenge in terms of manufacturing and commissioning.

Since 2010, AEG Power Solutions delivered and commissioned already over 450 MW in Eastern Europe, out of which 300 MW are fully in operation.

Horst J. Kayser, CEO of AEG Power Solutions, comments further: “Reliability and efficiency of our solutions are demonstrated in these photovoltaic power plants and we also show our execution capabilities on very challenging projects. This contract also illustrates that the solar market is indeed growing and major opportunities exist outside Western Europe. This is direct evidence of the relevance of our solar strategy.”
