This more advanced solution offers improved price to power ratio, almost doubling output power of previous versions from 500-700W to 1000W, and offers a broader range of input and output options. Inputs now include 48Vdc (42-60V), 72Vdc (60-82V), 110Vdc (90-130V) or 125Vd (105-145V). Output voltages now available include 24V/40A, 48V/20A or 125Vdc/8A. As on earlier versions of this design, a built-in redundancy diode can be added for paralleling and N+1 operation, or back-up battery connection.
The units are now available in two mechanical formats. The unique F3TF mechanical structure is cooled entirely by two long-life fans on the top of the unit; no additional cooling is required. This mechanical design is raised above the installation surface, which allows for mounting on uneven or thermally non-conductive surfaces. Alternatively, the units can be housed in a FF3 chassis, cooled by two fans on one side of the unit, with additional conduction via base plate to a heat-sinking surface. The converters meet EN61373/IEC61373 shock and vibration standards. Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for immunity to high levels of shock, vibration and humidity.
The BAP 65TF/65F Series converters are filtered to meet EN55022 Class A conducted and radiated requirements, with wide margins. Output ripple/noise is less than 1% of the output voltage peak-to-peak and combined line/load regulation is less than ±1% from zero-load to full load. Protection features include 2200Vdc input/output isolation, inrush current limiting, reverse polarity protection and continuous current limiting with short-circuit protection with no hiccup. Efficiency is typically 85% at full load.
