THTR DIN41612 connectors support one step solder process

ept has released details of a reflow-compatible range of through hole DIN41612 connectors. Available in the UK from franchised distributor Toby Electronics, the high temperature THTR (Through Hole Technology Reflow) series can be soldered using the same process as other surface mount components on the PCB, saving time and money without compromising standards of reliability.

Traditionally, surface mount components need to be assembled and reflow soldered, before an additional process such as wave soldering is employed for the connector. However, ept THTR DIN 41612 connectors are manufactured from a high temperature resistant plastic that can withstand reflow soldering techniques. Rated up to 260°C and fulfilling the requirements of J-STD-020D, both the male and female parts are suitable for any lead free reflow solder process.
