Axiomtek’s Ultra-compact Fanless Embedded Computer – eBOX531-820-FL

Axiomtek introduced the eBOX531-820-FL ultra-compact fanless embedded box computer with a 10V to 30V wide-range DC power input for rugged and space-critical industrial applications. The eBOX531-820-FL is based on an ultra low-power Intel® Atom™ processor Z530 1.6GHz or Z510 1.1GHz with the Intel® System Controller Hub US15W. Its power consumption is less than 10W in common used. In a rugged aluminum and cold-rolled steel housing, the eBOX531-820-FL provides a full set of I/O features including one Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0 ports, two COM ports, VGA connector, audio connector, and PS/2 ports. This durable embedded computer also supports one 2.5” SATA HDD drive bay and the CompactFlash™ card for high-capacity storage. The power-optimized Atom-based embedded computer is targeted at DSA, car PC, medical healthcare, entry-level gaming, in-flight infotainment, and other power-sensitive embedded applications.

“Axiomtek’s brand-new eBOX531-820-FL is powered by an ultra low-power Intel® Atom™ processor Z530/Z510 with up to 2GB of DDR2 system memory. Integrated Intel® GMA 500 offers advanced graphics and 3D performance. To fulfill different application needs, the eBOX531-820-FL supports a 10 to 30 voltage wide-range DC power input. Even more, it adopts Phoenix plug power connector,” said Eric Chiang, Product Manager of Applied Computing & Network Device Business Unit at Axiomtek. “Measuring only 132 x 95.4 x 59.5 mm in size, the durable eBOX531-820-FL can easily fit into any space-limited and harsh environments.”

The fanless box computer eBOX531-820-FL supports various embedded operating systems including Windows® CE, Windows® XP Embedded (XPE), and Linux. For flexible installation, the super durable unit can be din-rail-mounted, wall-mounted, VESA-mounted or stand-mounted. Moreover, it has a built-in Watchdog Timer to reset the system after a crash or system error. Axiomtek has a feature-rich eBOX embedded platform product line for supplying low power, flexibility, reliability, leading-edge technology, and complete ODM/OEM service.

The low-power eBOX531-820-FL will be available around the end of November, 2010.
