Meeedly completes global summer challenge cohort 1 with global applause

Meeedly is broadening its global educational impact with new student opportunities in Business, Marketing and Engineering, alongside the launch of its second Global Summer Challenge cohort.

Following a successful pilot programme earlier this summer, the next chapter of the Global Summer Challenge will continue Meeedly’s mission to provide university students and recent graduates with hands-on experience, collaborative learning, and skill development in a diverse, project-based environment.

The Global Summer Challenge is an immersive, three-week virtual experience that unites driven students from various institutions and time zones to collaborate on high-impact, innovation-focused projects. Through dynamic team challenges, participants sharpen their leadership and communication skills and develop a global mindset while solving complex problems in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

In its inaugural cohort, students with software engineering backgrounds worked together on projects ranging from functional web applications to polished software prototypes. Collaborating across time zones in globally distributed teams, they strengthened not only their technical and project management abilities but also their adaptability and cross-cultural communication.

Notably, the Global Summer Challenge drew participants from over seven countries and encountered no timezone conflicts, as all group meetings were efficiently scheduled using the Meeedly platform.

Outstanding contributions were recognised in categories such as Best Programmer, Best Leader, and Best Software, celebrating not just coding skill, but also creativity, initiative, and teamwork. The programme’s international scope was a defining feature, as students from diverse backgrounds came together to build meaningful and impactful solutions.

In addition to the Global Summer Challenge, Meeedly offers 12-week internships that allow students to contribute directly to company initiatives. These internships give students the chance to apply their academic skills in a professional environment while gaining exposure to the inner workings of a growing tech startup.

The Digital Marketing team is actively shaping Meeedly’s content strategy, strengthening brand communication, and finding creative ways to connect with new audiences. Software Engineering interns work on external projects, participate in code reviews, and support the development and optimisation of external projects during their educational journey at Meeedly.

Meeedly actively welcomes brilliant students to join its team, and with applications now open for Global Summer Challenge Cohort 2, now’s a perfect time to engage in innovative projects and advance your professional growth.
