GM autonomous vehicle competition – AutoDrive Challenge

General Motors and SAE International are hosting three-year autonomous vehicles competition – AutoDrive Challenge. 

AutoDrive Challenge tasking students to present full self-driving vehicle, that should perfectly navigate in the urban environment. During the competition timeline students will visit dedicated technological workshops to gain understanding of self-driving vehicle. Teams should create several reports, outlining various types of analysis reports.

This challenge consist of three stages. During the first stage university teams making concept design. At the second stage – focusing on driving scenarios with different types of projects.

On May 29 – June 4 2019 should happen year 2 competition in Ann Arbor, MI. Competition incorporating 8 teams from various universities in United States and Canada, among them are Kettering University, Michigan State University, University of Toronto and others.

Official suppliers and product sponsors, among GM and ASE International, are Continental, Intel, MathWorks, OXTS, BOSCH, ON Semiconductor and others.
