Integrating multiple thin film transistor (TFT) displays with touch-activated functions, Visteon developed and delivered the instrument cluster in only 10 weeks by leveraging its flexible driver information platform design and its expertise as one of the world’s leading suppliers of driver information technologies.
The futuristic-styled cluster incorporates a 12.3 inch central TFT color display with two additional color TFT gauges on either side of the display. The central display incorporates the Sport Turismo’s vehicle and driver information, ranging from tachometer and navigation to input from the vehicle’s external cameras. The right-hand TFT gauge provides the driver with the hybrid driving state of the vehicle, while the left-hand gauge incorporates a touch screen enabling the e-hybrid start function.
Visteon is delighted to have been involved in the development of Porsche’s exciting e-hybrid concept, said Christian Feltgen, Visteon’s global director of cockpit electronics technologies. Our investment in flexible hardware and software architectures enables us to deliver unique and tailored user interface solutions in accelerated timescales to our customers around the world.
