In addition to the long record length, the oscilloscopes offer specific features for serial data testing such as serial triggering where the trigger is generated by decoding the packet contents. Bus decoding and bus display are provided along with a packet decode table display which provides data in a similar way to a logic analyser. Search facilities allow specific parts of the data to be found rapidly.
Serial triggering, decoding and analysis options are available for I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, and RS232/422/485/UART. In common with other DPO series oscilloscopes from Tektronix, the DPO3000 features Wave Inspector navigation, which includes fast pan and zoom to interrogate the large record depth.
Digital phosphor technology is used to provide time-related intensity modulation with an impressive waveform capture rate of 50,000 waveforms per second. A 9-inch widescreen TFT display of WVGA resolution is incorporated to enable a greater proportion of the waveform to be observed.
The DOP3000 series is highly portable and has a remarkably small bench footprint, being only 137 mm (5.4 inches) deep. USB and LAN interfaces are included, the latter offering e*Scope® remote viewing and control. A front panel USB host socket provides for quick and easy data storage using memory sticks.
