Brüel & Kjær launches new integrated Predictor-LimA software

Environmental noise mapping is now much simpler for consultants and authorities with the launch of Bruel & Kjaer’s new Predictor-LimA software suite.

This combined version integrates both the Predictor and LimA tools into one powerful and intuitive software suite, which is incredibly simple to use. The suite also models real life quickly and accurately – even in complex situations – enabling even infrequent users to work efficiently.

The noise modelling tool has a unique multi-model view and allows unlimited undo/redo functionality. Depending on the version purchased, all UK applicable calculation methods are available, including BS-5228:2009, CRN, CRTN and ISO-9613. Bruel & Kjaer’s basic version also supports British Standard Code of Practice BS-5228:2009 and ISO-9613.

The LimA section is powerful and highly flexible; it allows easy integration with external data sets, calculation components from other systems. It includes powerful macro functionality with automated data manipulation and advanced geometric handling for modelling without the need to use other software, such as Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

Together, the functionality of Predictor and the flexibility of LimA provides users with quick and easy environmental noise calculation and analysis for many different applications, ranging from small-scale impact assessments, such as neighbour noise to mapping of large, built up areas in big towns or cities.
