Anritsu Corporation, a leading manufacturer of test and measurement equipment, today announced a joint demonstration with Altair Semiconductor, a 4G chip company developing the world’s most advanced mobile semiconductors for handheld devices, focused on the development of LTE solutions.
The two companies demonstrate the interoperability testing (IOT) of their products – Anritsu’s MD8430A and RTD and Altair’s FourGee™ LTE USB ExpressCard UE. The results of the successful IOT can be viewed in Anritsu’s Mobile World Congress booth – stand 1B31 - where a live LTE link will be demonstrated, showing high-definition video streaming up and downlink between the UE and eNB emulator.

The demonstration will benefit the companies’ joint customers and partners by enabling Anritsu and Altair to blend the early availability and maturity of Altair’s comprehensive LTE chips and software portfolio with Anritsu’s market leading LTE test equipment.

“Anritsu is pleased to be able to join together with Altair to demonstrate leading edge capability in the area of LTE technology, giving customers for both companies an opportunity to see the technology and solutions in live operation. With the wide range of skills and capability in both companies we have been able to successfully bring together this LTE demonstration” comments Jonathan Borrill, Director of Marketing for Anritsu.

“As LTE technology begins its international roll out, Altair’s demonstration with Anritsu helps to ensure device manufactures, developers and service providers have access to comprehensive testing solutions,” said Eran Eshed, Co-Founder and VP of Marketing and Business Development for Altair Semiconductor. “Customers and partners of both companies will now have seamless access to Anritsu’s advanced LTE test systems and Altair’s commercial grade LTE chipsets and LTE ExpressCard as they continue to develop advanced LTE solutions.”
