Agilent Technologies has announced the opening of its Digital Test Center at the company's headquarters. The center allows customers to learn about the technologies and challenges of digital test and conduct on-site testing of their devices to meet the digital interfacing standards of today and tomorrow.
Computer and consumer-electronics companies are competing to produce and launch faster, more advanced devices to meet consumers' demands. Without fulfilling the latest memory, USB, SATA, PCI Express(r), HDMI and DisplayPort requirements, they will not succeed. The purpose of Agilent's Digital Test Center is to enable companies to comply with measurement standards as they design the latest in life-style electronics.

The test center offers training on technology and test systems, workshops, and on-site test of customers' devices with Agilent equipment. In addition, the test equipment can be transported for local use and demonstration at vendor sites in the United States.

Agilent works with leading technology developers and standards groups to help ensure products can be brought to market quickly by accelerating design, validation and compliance testing. Digital designers running test systems at microwave speeds require deep application and technology understanding in microwave and digital.

Agilent's new test center can provide the expertise digital designers need at the earliest stages of the development cycle, said Perry Keller, Digital Standards Program lead at Agilent's Digital Test Division. Our application-optimized measurement support and automation capabilities can help complete validation and compliance test in a fraction of the time it has taken to date, enabling much faster time to market and improved product quality.
