Test equipment sourcing specialist Livingston has played an integral part in the setting of new a Guinness World Record. Its client DANTE (Delivery of Advanced Network Technology to Europe) has, using Livingston sourced equipment, been able to achieve the fastest ever rate for implementing multi-Terabit optical capacity.
Trek Extends Reach In Electrostatic Voltmeter Market
Trek has introduced a hand-held 2kV electrostatic voltmeter which enables high-accuracy voltage measurement – in contacting or non-contacting mode – with virtually zero charge transfer. The Model 821HH expands Trek's Infinitron product line which leverages the company's ultra-high impedance voltmeter technology.
Power Source Meter Targets iPhone Generation
“It’s all about touch screen now,” says Peter Bachmeyer, technical marketing manager at Keithley Instruments as he introduced the Model 2450 Source Meter. Bachmeyer’s argument backed up customer research is that there is a wider spread of engineers using test instruments, and that an intuitive, touch screen instrument meets their needs.
NI Upgrades Software-Based Test Instrumentation
National Instruments has added updates to its NI LabVIEW reconfigurable I/O (RIO) architecture. The most significant are new instrument driver FPGA extensions, a feature of the NI RF signal analyser and RF signal generator instrument drivers that combine the flexibility of the open FPGA with the compatibility engineers expect from an industry-standard instrument driver.
