Automotive Ethernet testing simplified with new software
Tektronix has released two software packages that greatly simplify Automotive Ethernet testing, debug and Protocol Decode for use with its 5 and 6 Series mixed signal oscilloscopes (MSO). Using the new Signal Separation software, automotive engineers can now perform Automotive Ethernet testing without disrupting the ECU system or cutting the Ethernet cable to install a directional coupler.
Tester accommodates a wide range of SSD form factors
Developed to test and debug solid-state drives (SSD), the MPT3000ARC system is the newest member of Advantest’s MPT3000 product family. The fully integrated MPT3000ARC can operate over a broad temperature range to test all SSDs used in rapidly multiplying applications, including connected devices from smart cars to wearable electronics.
Duo report successful C-V2X test
Autotalks, a supplier of V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication solutions and China’s Datang, which develops C-V2X communications standards and the provider of system solution of C-V2X，have successfully tested chipset-level interoperability of their respective solutions for C-V2X direct communication.
UVC emitting diode comes in compact SMD package
Adding to its portfolio of short wavelength ultraviolet (UVC) emitting diodes Vishay Intertechnology has launched a compact SMD device for sterilisation, sanitation, and purification applications. Designed to replace mercury UVC lamps, the Vishay Semiconductors VLMU35CL..-280-120 delivers a long lifetime in a 3.5mm by 3.5mm by 1.2mm surface-mount package with a quartz window that eliminates the need for an external lens.
Network emulation solutions speed 5G NR module development
Keysight Technologies says that Fibocom Wireless has selected the company's 5G network emulation solutions to accelerate development and validation of 5G new radio (NR) modules for the PC market. Fibocom, China's first publicly listed wireless module provider, selected Keysight's 5G RF DVT Toolset to support its strategic goal of supplying connected mobile ecosystems with commercial 5G-powered internet of things (IoT) modules.
Software extends power of boundary scan testing
Software that helps engineers develop better test programs and operate more efficiently has been released by XJTAG. It introduces a new API that brings boundary scan’s power of individual pin control into a developer’s own test code, an editor that allows device models to be created that have configurable options for maximum reuse, and data-rich log files that are now even easier for existing systems to analyse.
High-speed eight-channel automotive oscilloscope
Saelig Company has introduced the Pico Technology PicoScope 4823, a high-speed, high-resolution, eight-channel automotive oscilloscope. It is fast enough for decoding the latest commonly used serial protocols used in vehicles, such as CAN, CAN FD, and FlexRay. The 4823 scope offers eight common-ground signal input channels with a maximum input range of 50V and protection to 100V.
Oscilloscopes meet demanding debugging applications
Two oscilloscopes from Tektronix are in stock at RS Components. The recently launched 3 Series MDO (mixed-domain oscilloscope) and the 4 Series MSO (mixed-signal oscilloscope) have been developed to suit a wide range of demanding debugging and signal analysis applications at an affordable price.
Protocol verification system gets thumbs up from QA firm
Eurofins Digital Testing, a specialist in end-to-end Quality Assurance, has selected the Teledyne LeCroy Voyager M310P, comprehensive protocol verification system designed for USB 2.0, USB 3.1, Type-C and Power Delivery. Eurofins was the first independent lab worldwide authorised for official USB-IF compliance testing.
Duo collaborate on 5G mmWave IC test solution
Test and measurement companies Rohde & Schwarz and Marvin Test Solutions have cooperated to create a turnkey solution suited for beamforming integrated circuits (IC) used in 5G mmWave (FR2) and satellite communications.
