Optimised for small auxiliary motor drive applications including air conditioning compressors for EV and HEVs, the AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 automotive-qualified 600V IGBTs have been introduced by International Rectifier. The 24A devices feature a low VCE(ON) to reduce power dissipation and a maximum junction temperature of 175°C to achieve extremely high power density.

Leveraging IR’s COOLiRIGBT platform and co-packaged with a soft recovery diode, the AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 offer a minimum 6μs short circuit rating at 150°C. A square reverse bias safe operating area provides additional ruggedness, while a positive VCE(ON) temperature coefficient enables easy parallelling for higher power applications.

Subject to dynamic and static part average testing combined with 100% automated wafer level visual inspection, the devices are all environmentally friendly and assembled with IR’s automotive grade, lead-free and RoHS compliant BOMs.

Ben Jackson, Principal Product Manager, Automotive IGBTs, Diodes and Modules, IR, comments: “The AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 deliver a rugged, efficient cost-effective solution to meet the demand of 600V motor drive applications used in today’s electric and hybrid vehicles.”

Available in a standard length lead TO-247 and long lead TO-247 package, the AUIRGP66524D0 and AUIRGF66524D0 IGBTs are priced from $1.51 in 100,000 unit quantities. Production orders are available immediately.
