The Components Division of Devlin Electronics has announced the availability of new model 7798 and model 7969 linear battery chargers, specifically designed for use with sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries. Both models provide high-reliability and demonstrate low noise interference and low electro magnetic emissions, making them ideal to provide uninterruptible DC supplies in critical locations for modern railway, industrial control and data communication applications.
These units are upgraded versions of battery chargers previously manufactured by EMS power and have been introduced in response to continued customer demand. They meet the latest EMC standards with EN 50121 and EN 61010 approvals and are RoHS compliant.

Model 7969 will charge 24V batteries and supplies an output current of up to 2.5A, while model 7798 is capable of charging either 6V or 12V batteries at up to 4A. Both units are designed to be equipment mounted, and can be used in either float or cyclic modes with the distinct advantage of being able to charge Cyclon batteries. Both chargers provide constant voltage / constant current charging to avoid overcharging (when used correctly).

As part of an extensive service, Devlin can customise units to suit individual applications.
