SCHURTER has enhanced its heritage voltage selector series, the SWA and SWZ, with new materials.

The plating of the terminals has been upgraded from tin to silver for improved solder connection and contact resistance.

These enhancements play a crucial role in the overall functionality and reliability of the selector switch in terms of mechanical stability and efficient operating performance over time. For instance, the SWA and SWZ is popular for use in audio analog devices, which rely on stable and reliable components. Reliable solder connections and reduced contact resistance is key to ensuring consistent performance, critical for maintaining the integrity of audio signals.

The SWA and SWZ series is used primarily as a voltage selector but can also be used in applications with other types of circuit switching for varying modes of operation. The desired function of each position is determined by wiring options in series-parallel. Numerous combinations of voltage markings are available as standard for the SWA and SWZ. Custom-specific markings are possible as well.

The SWA1 / SWZ1 is screw-on panel mount version with solder terminals. The SWA2 / SWZ2 is the PCB mount version for more compact installation.
