Regulators offer continuous output current of up to 65mA

Taiwan Semiconductor’s TSCR400 and TSCR402 are high-side constant-current regulators (CCR) for linear LED driving.

They are in stock at Digi-Key Electronics.

The devices regulate with a preset TSCR400 0.1 mA and TSCR402 20 mA nominal that can be adjusted with an external resistor up to 65 mA.

They are designed for driving LEDs in strings and will reduce the current at increasing temperatures to self-protect.

Operating as a series linear CCR for LED string current control, they can be used in multiple applications as long as the maximum supply voltage is less than 40 V.

Output current at higher temperatures is the result of their negative temperature coefficient at -0.07%/°C.  The TSCR400 and TSCR402 are available in a SOT-26 package.
