DIN Rail power supplies introduced by PowerPax

The PD series from PowerPax UK has products to cover the power range of 24W, 45W, 72W, 120W, 240W and 500W with outputs of 5V, 12V, 24V, 28V, 48V, 110V and 125V available. In addition to the standard available outputs it is possible to provide modified outputs in the range of 3 – 400V enabling this series to cover many applications. All outputs feature an adjustment range of adjustment ± 10% and can operate with a Zero minimum load without effecting regulation. Line regulation and load regulation are typically ±1% . All models feature universal mains input 96 – 264VAC, 47 – 400Hz (127 – 380VDC) ,models with 120W output and above are power factor corrected.

All of the power supplies in this range feature protection against short circuit, over voltage protection and power limited overload protection with automatic recovery. In addition to the standard features of these power supplies there are also optional power ready and a redundant function (not available on 24W models).

To enhance the flexibility of these power supplies they have been designed to enable split rail, series and parallel (1+1) configuration.

Power supplies in the range 24 – 240W are convection cooled. The 500W model is cooled by forced air via an internal fan with automatic speed control. The operating temperature range of this series is -15 to +50˚C with relative humidity of 5 – 95% non condensing.

This series has been designed to provide excellent reliability and has a minimum MTBF of 110Khr’s (MIL-HDBK-217F). This range is compliant to UL, CSA and CE safety standards and is compliant with EMC requirements. The product also complies with the requirements of the RoHS directive.
