NEC Electronics Europe has introduced new transistor output optocouplers with guaranteed operation up to 110degC ambient temperature. The extended temperature range make them ideal for applications such as switched mode power supplies and factory equipment, and all applications where components are packed densely.
The PS2561B-1 series comes in a plastic dual in-line package (DIP) with a high isolation voltage of 5000 Vrms and is available as a through-hole version or a surface mount version. Output collector to emitter voltages up to 80V can be applied and maximum current of 50mA can be obtained.

The additional releases in smaller SMD packages are completing NEC Electronics’ high temperature transistor optocoupler line-up: The PS2761B-1 and PS2861B-1 are surface mount devices in small-outline package (SOP, 2.54 mm pin-pitch) and shrink small-outline package (SSOP, 1.27 mm pin-pitch) offering an isolation voltage of 3750 Vrms.

The new High Temperature optocouplers can operate at both 1mA and 5mA input currents and the values for the current transfer ratio (CTR) are specified for both input current levels.

All optocouplers are fully RoHS compliant and feature the most common international safety certificates such as UL, CSA, BSI, SEMKO, NEMKO, DEMKO, FIMKO and VDE.
