TDK Corporation announces the extension of the TDK-Lambda GWS500 series power supplies with the addition of two low output voltage models. Combining the same high efficiency, high power density and low standby power characteristics as other models within the GWS500 series, the 5V and 7.5V models are well-suited for fitting into 1U enclosures.
Typical applications cover a broad range of industrial areas, including ATE, Automation, Broadcast, Communications, Test & Measurement and Instrumentation.

Rated at up to 500W, the TDK-Lambda GWS500 is a fan cooled AC-DC power supply with a 105x218mm (4.1x8.6in) footprint and 41mm (1.6in) height, and a power density of up to 8.7W/in3. The new models have nominal outputs of 5V (80A) and 7.5V (67A), complementing the 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V models. Outputs are adjustable by trim pot or external voltage source.

All GWS500 models operate from an 85-264Vac input with active power factor correction to ensure EN61000-3-2 compliance and come with overvoltage, overtemperature and overcurrent protection as standard. CE marked in accordance with the LV Directive and RoHS Directive, the TDK-Lambda GWS500 conforms to EN55022 and CISPR22 Class B conducted and radiated EMC, and meets CSA/IEC60950-1 Ed 2 and UL/EN60950-1 safety approvals.
