Flexible power options: Soldering coin cell battery holder

The LaunchPad SensorTag Kit (LPSTK-CC1352R) offers several power options.

Out of the box, the LPSTK can be powered with two AAA batteries. Alternatively, the LPSTK can be powered by a CR2032 coin cell battery.

The LPSTK has a footprint for a coin cell holder that can be easily soldered into place. Mike Pridgen from the LaunchPad applications team walks through the required modifications to enable this option.

Lastly, the LPSTK can also be externally powered through the 10-pin SWD JTAG connect from a separate LaunchPad kit.
