Phihong has developed a new 10-12W interchangeable plug adapter series that is ideal for applications including wireless communications, networking, portable equipment, and peripherals. The PSC12R Series consists of three single-output models, available in 5-, 9-, and 12VDC. The 5- and 9V models, the PSC12R-050 and PSC12R-090 respectively, are 10W adapters, and the 12V model, the PSC12R-120, is a 12W adapter. Also, in addition to interchangeable clips, which save OEMs time, space, and money by streamlining their inventory and approvals processes with a single part, the PSC12R Series is compliant with the still-voluntary ENERGY STAR® EPS Version 2.0 (Level V) efficiency standard.

Our new interchangeable clip adapter series provides OEMs with high quality, energy-efficient power supplies in both 10- and 12W, expanding its potential range of compatible devices, as well as the countries in which they may be used, said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong.

PSC12R Series adapters are double insulated and meet Class B EMI standards. They also feature short-circuit and over-voltage protection with auto restart and bear cUL/UL, CE, C-Tick, and SAA safety markings and approvals.

Regarding efficiency, PSC12R Series adapters draw less than 0.3W of power at no-load. Additionally, the 5V model operates at an average efficiency of greater than 73.4%, the 9V model at greater than 76.6%, and the 12V model at greater than 77.8%.

Interchangeable AC input clips for the series, each sold separately, are available for the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia, and enable OEMs to fulfill the power requirements of electronics destined for sale in countries with dissimilar power outlets with a single adapter.

PSC12R adapters measure 2.82? x 1.77? x 1.27? and weigh 2.65 ounces. The adapters' 1.2-meter (3' 11.24?) DC cords terminate with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel output connector. They are rated for operation from 0 degrees C to +40 degrees C.
