SL Power Electronics Corp announces the introduction of a single output, 50W external power supply family for medical applications. The Ault MW152 family meets the requirements set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program, as well as European and Asian global energy efficiencies.

The Ault MW152 family features 100VAC to 240VAC universal input range with voltages from 12 to 24V. As an Energy Star partner, SL Power Electronics produces external power supplies that meet the program’s requirements for energy efficiency and no-load power consumption.

“Many of our medical OEM customers want versatile power supplies that are compliant with Energy Star requirements,” says Nigel Davies, European Managing Director for SL Power. “Now, OEMs can choose desktop models that are more energy efficient to power their medical devices, which may be of particular importance for devices shipped and used worldwide.”

The Ault MW152 products are available in desktop style with output voltages of 12, 15, 18 and 24V. The series is a low-cost option for leading medical device OEMs. The CE-compliant Ault MW152 also meets safety agency requirements, including UL60601-1 and IEC/EN60601-1. Competitively priced at $19.96 in a 1,000-piece OEM quantity, the Ault MW152 provides an affordable, energy-wise option for medical OEM design engineers.

All MW152 models have regulated output with low ripple and a three-year warranty. SL Power Electronics also offers modified and custom designs to meet specific OEM requirements and private label marking needs.

With European Headquarters in the United Kingdom, SL Power Electronics Corp. is one of the leading independent manufacturers of power conversion products. The Company is the leading global supplier of medical AC/DC power supplies for a wide range of applications — from diagnostic equipment and patient monitoring to blood-related systems and respirators.
