The AP43671 USB Type-C PD controller is a highly integrated controller capable of accommodating programmable power supply (PPS) and other popular quick charging protocols (including Qualcomm QC4/QC4+) for USB Type-C power supplies and AC/DC chargers.
It includes an embedded synchronous rectification controller, which supports adaptive quasi-resonant and continuous conduction mode for matching PWM controllers such as the AP3304A.
The AP3304A PWM controller minimises standby power consumption by operating in burst mode at light load with a 23 kHz switching frequency, delivering power efficiency for AC/DC adapter-chargers and ATX/BTX auxiliary power supplies.
The robust IC boasts a range of protection features, including brownout protection, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and VCC overvoltage protection.
The AP3304A is an ideal choice for switching AC/DC power chargers and power supplies for set-top boxes.
