Rutronik now offers the TVS diodes D3V3Z1BD2CSP from Diodes, featuring low capacitance Cd of 0.3pF.

These diodes are designed to protect high-speed differential lines. Their high pulse peak current capability (10.5A, tP = 8 / 20µs) also makes them suitable for protection against electrical overload (EOS). The compact DSN housing, measuring 0.60 x 0.30 x 0.30mm, allows for flexible single-cable protection in various applications.

They are particularly suitable for automotive applications that require specific change control, such as parts qualified to AEC-Q100/101/104/200, PPAP capable, and manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities. They feature a low terminal voltage (5V or 5.3V) to protect sensitive inputs and outputs and have a low reverse current of 50nA max. at a VR of 3.3V, ensuring reliable, bidirectional ESD protection for a cable.

Additional advantages include:

  • Transient protection for the protected line according to IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) air ± 20 kV, contact ± 20 V, and IEC 61000-4-5 (overvoltage) 10.5A (8 / 20µs)
  • Completely lead-free and fully RoHS-compliant
  • Halogen and antimony-free

Applications examples:

  • USB Type-C
  • ThunderboltTM 2, ThunderboltTM 3
