GaN coaxial power amplifiers dissipate heat more effectively
Pasternack announces their expanded offering of GaN coaxial power amplifiers. GaN has emerged as the technology of choice in power amplifier designs. The high power density of GaN semiconductor technology dissipates heat more effectively, which results in amplifier designs that have significantly higher output power levels over broadband and narrowband frequencies.
600V driver IC enables square-wave speed BLDC motor control
Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its line up of High Voltage Intelligent Power Devices (HV-IPD) with the addition of a motor driver IC in a compact surface mount package that is rated to 600V. The TPD4152F enables a square-wave speed control of small BLDC electric motors. It is aimed at applications including air conditioners, air purifiers, fans, ventilators and water heaters.
Power management IC targets 3G/4G devices
The MAX77826 Power Management IC (PMIC) from Maxim Integrated is now being shipped by distributor Mouser Electronics. The PMIC is a highly integrated subpower management device for the latest 3G and 4G smartphones and tablets. It contains a high-efficiency buck regulator, a buck boost regulator, and 15 low dropout regulators (LDOs) to power up peripherals.
Tiny LDO regulator targets fingerprint recognition
Designed to provide the power and I/O supplies for fingerprint recognition modules in consumer electronics, the AP7346 dual LDO regulator has been introduced by Diodes Incorporated. The device’s 1.7 to 5.25V input voltage range allows it to operate over a full Li-ion battery charge/discharge cycle and provides an output voltage between 1.2 and 3.6V in fixed 0.1V steps, accurate to 1.5%.
