Technologies + TRUMPower announces availability of the TRM24 series of 12-24W desktop power adapters, which have approvals to class I and class II medical standards.
The series, which accepts a 90-264V universal input, features output overvoltage, overload, and short circuit protections. The output voltage, which is factory preset to meet customer requirements, is anywhere in the range of 3-27V, with the voltage regulation being ±5%. Output power is 12-24W, with output wattage being 12W on 3-5V units, 15W on 5-8V, 20W on 8-11V and 24W on 11-27V. The standard output connector is a barrel plug on a 4-foot 18AWG cable, but for flexibility, many other desired connector and output options can be accommodated as well.

Other main features of the TRM24 series of desktop power adapters are its approvals to IEC60601-1, UL60601-1, EN60601-1, CE, CB safety standards as well as its compliance with EN60601-1-2 EMC standards including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11. They can be fully loaded at 0°C-40°C ambient temperature. The units, which comply with CEC efficiency level IV regulation, consume very low standby power, typically less than 0.3W, and have an efficiency up to 79%. The MTBF is 150,000 hours minimum at full load at 25°C ambient temperature per MIL-HDBK-217F standards. The adapter’s approximate dimensions are 1.69 x 4.16 x 1.18 inches.

The TRM24 series of desktop power adapters offers both class I and class II insulations. Class II units come with an IEC320/C8 AC inlet without a ground pin, while class I units are furnished with an IEC320/C14 (3 flat pins) or IEC320/C6 AC (3 round pins) inlet that has a ground pin.

The TRM24 series of desktop power adapters is priced at US$24.50 in OEM quantity. Lead time for samples is 3-4 weeks, while lead time for production quantity is 6-8 weeks ARO.
