Vishay has introduced the new PNM series of precision non-magnetic thin film resistors. The devices feature a low standard TCR of ± 25 ppm/°C and laser-trimmed tolerances down to ± 0.1 % over a wide temperature range of - 55 °C to + 125 °C.
With stable film and performance characteristics of 1000 ppm at + 70 °C for 10,000 hours, the devices released today are optimized for high-precision medical imaging and measurement, sensing, and high-end audio equipment.

Featuring a high-purity alumina substrate, the resistors have been carefully engineered with non-magnetic materials to eliminate the effects of stray magnetic fields on circuit performance, resulting in simplified shielding requirements and improved sound quality for these applications.

Offered in 12 case sizes from 0402 to 2512, the PNM series offers a resistance range from 10 Ω to 3 MΩ, with non-standard values available. The resistors feature very low noise of < - 30 dB, low voltage coefficients of 0.1 ppm/V, power ratings from 50 mW to 1 W, and voltage ratings from 75 V to 200 V.

The PNM devices are resistant to moisture at + 85 °C, 85 % relative humidity, and 10 % rated power. Available with lead (Pb)-free or lead terminations, the resistors are RoHS- compliant with and flame-resistant in accordance with UL 94 V-0. The devices undergo a 100 % visual inspection per MIL-PRF-55342.
