Stackpole – High Voltage Resistor Series

Stackpole Electronics ASR / SPR Series metal film resistors are designed to withstand high voltage pulses. The pulse voltage capability ranges from 1KV for low resistance values in the ¼ watt size up to 10KV for higher resistance values in the mini ½ watt and 1 watt sizes. In addition, these resistors can withstand thousands of pulses of this type even up to several seconds in duration without significant resistance shift.

This series is an ideal lower cost replacement for ceramic composition and carbon composition resistors where the pulse voltage capability of the resistor is critical.

The ASR / SPR Series are available in resistance values ranging from 100 ohms up to 20Meg, with the UL 1676 rated SPR representing the values from 1 Meg to 12 Meg. Pricing is size and tolerance dependent and ranges from $0.04 each to $0.10 each in full reel quantities
