The MKP385e series from Vishay complements Rutronik's capacitor portfolio for demanding applications.

The metallised polypropylene film capacitors are designed for a particularly long service life under harsh conditions. They offer capacitances from 0.001 µF to 15 µF, a low ESR of 4 mΩ (at 100 kHz) and high ripple current capabilities of up to 19.0 A. The MKP38e series ensures compliance with IEC 60384-17 and is AEC-200Q Revision D and RoHs compliant. The capacitors are especially suitable for the automotive sector (hybrid and electric vehicles).

The MKP385e capacitors are available in eight rated voltages from 400 VDC to 2500 VDC, with capacitors rated 630 VDC and below having a mono structure and capacitors rated above 630 VDC having a series film structure. They are installed in compact housings to save space and are ideal for onboard and inductive charging processes, battery management and keyless systems, damping elements, resonant converters or power supplies. The components can be customised on request.

Benefits at a glance:

  • Operating temperature of up to +125 °C
  • AEC-Q200 qualified (Rev. D)
  • THB 60 °C 93 % RH for 56 days at nominal voltage
  • Customisable
  • RoHS compliant

Applications:

  • Automotive / hybrid and electric vehicles
  • On-board and inductive charging systems
  • BMS (battery management)
  • High pulse and high frequency currents
  • Snubbering
  • Resonant converters
