Noise Suppression without Distortion

For designers seeking to suppress common mode noise on high speed differential signal lines, without distortion, Murata has announced the DLP0NS Series of compact, low profile, film-type common mode choke coils.

Common mode choke coil circuits are increasingly being used for the effective suppression of common mode noise without distorting the waveform of high-speed signals. The DLP0NS chip coils measure just 0.85 x 0.65 x 0.45mm in profile, with a tight +/-0.05mm dimensional tolerance, making them ideal for today’s high speed portable products, particularly those incorporating USB2.0, IEEE1349 or LVDS protocols, as well as in HDMI and DVI applications.

Impedance characteristics of devices in the series are specified at 67ohms, 90ohms or 120ohms at 100MHz. Rated current is 110, 100 and 90mA respectively while rated voltage is 5V DC. Insulation resistance is quoted at 100Mohms minimum, while DC resistance is 2.4 Ohms, 3 Ohms and 3.8 Ohms +/-25% respectively. Operating temperature range is –40 to +85oC.

They can be supplied bulk or taped and reeled.
