Coto Technology has a designed a new, stronger seal shape into a shorter version of its popular rectangular-bodied DYAD FR reed switch resulting in the introduction of the DYAD II FRB series dry reed switch.
Coto Technology, Inc. has introduced a new dry reed switch series – the DYAD II FRB Series. This series features a new, cylindrically-shaped seal designed onto a shortened version of its widely-used DYAD FR series reed switch. The new ball seal promotes improved glass-to-metal seal strength while the 13.94mm length addresses design requirements for a shorter switch. The rectangular-bodied reed switch is popular for its superior pick-and-place performance and is ideally suited for small switching applications such as proximity/level sensing, smoke alarms, relays, and metering and typically provides more than 1 billion operations in low-level or dry switching environments. The DYAD II FRB is surface-mount compatible with sputtered-ruthenium, hermetically-sealed contacts. It offers fast switching speeds - up to 500 Hz and is RoHS Compliant.

The DYAD II FRB has a lead time of 6-8 weeks. A detailed datasheet on the new DYAD II FRB Series is available on Coto’s website.
