COBRA Max is a compact linescan illuminator with a modular form factor that produces a uniform line up to 5,000,000 Lux. It, like its predecessor, COBRA Slim, offers field adjustable optics for selecting the optimum lens position for the application and is available in any length up to 5 meters. Both the COBRA Max and the COBRA Slim are available in a range of wavelengths and power levels. They were designed and developed at the Company’s R&D center in Cork, Ireland.
Commenting on the COBRA Max launch, Mark W. Blodgett, Chairman and CEO of ProPhotonix, said: COBRA Slim has been widely used by customers in the high speed linescan inspection markets, however, they were increasingly requesting a higher level of illumination as their applications get more intricate and require a faster throughput. The COBRA Max, with its 5-million Lux, addresses the need for much higher output.
