38 mm head-on PMT offers 3x faster response

A new 38 mm head-on PMT, offering 3 times faster response than previous models, has been announced by Hamamatsu. Hamamatsu will exhibit the R12845 at the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium/Medical Imaging 2013 Conference in Seoul, South Korea from the 27th October to the 2nd November (exhibit of the R12845 will be for 3 days from the 29th October).

The R12845 PMT is designed to provide high signal-to-noise detection for next-generation TOF-PET (time-of-flight positron emission tomography), high-energy physics applications, radiation monitoring, and other demanding applications. The R12845 will be available to instrument manufacturers from the 10th October 2013.
