Analog Devices AD3530 low-power, 8-channel, 16-bit DACs feature buffered voltage output and software-programmable gain controls that result in 2.5 V or 5 V full-scale output spans for 2.5 V reference voltages.

These devices, which are in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey, operate from single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply ranges and are guaranteed monotonic by design.

The AD3530R also offers a 2.5 V, 5 ppm/°C internal reference that is disabled by default.

These devices include integrated multiplexers that allow monitoring of output voltages, currents, and internal die temperature.

The AD3530 family incorporates power-on reset (POR) circuits that ensure the DACs output power up to and also present power at 32 kΩ to ground until a valid write is executed. The DACs also contain power-down modes that reduce the current consumption down to 670 µA, typical.

The AD3530 is available in a 2.1 mm x 2.2  mm, 25-ball WLCSP package. The serial peripheral interface (SPI) and MICROWIRE®-compatible, 4-wire serial interface operates on logic levels as low as 1.08 V up to 1.98 V and clock rates up to 50 MHz.

The EVAL-AD3530RARDZ allows users to quickly prototype the AD3530 circuits and reduce design time. The analysis control evaluation (ACE) software is available for download from the EVAL-AD3530RARDZ product page to use with the evaluation board, allowing the user to program the device.
