Apacer has released a robust DDR4 Rugged SODIMM anti-vibration memory module, which is targeted at defence and industry applications that suffer from high-vibration environments. It can help industrial vertical markets such as 5G base stations, energy exploration, wind power generation, aerospace defence, railways and transportation systems painlessly upgrade rugged applications to make them more robust.

Apacer DDR4 Rugged SODIMM complies with the JEDEC DDR4 SODIMM industry standard and is compatible with existing motherboards, greatly reducing the cost of rugged system development and enhancing product price competitiveness.

Industrial high-vibration environments often lead to loosened contact surfaces of memory gold fingers, resulting in instability or even interruption of transmission signals, and affecting the reliability and integrity of data processing. Apacer DDR4 Rugged SODIMM has passed the aerospace RTCA DO-160G anti-vibration test and has earned a military-standard MIL-STD-883K certification. It is designed in accordance with the JEDEC 260-Pin DDR4 SODIMM standard specification, and is equipped with a double mounting-hole design to secure the memory module tightly and firmly on the motherboard.

The stability and reliability of data transmission can be maintained even in high vibration and shock environments. In addition, Apacer DDR4 Rugged SODIMM is compatible with standard DDR4 SODIMM sockets, which can save the high cost of purchasing additional connectors, and there is no need to redesign the system, which helps shorten the overall system development time.

On the other hand, considering that 5G base stations, energy exploration, wind power generation, aerospace defence, railways and transportation systems often need to operate in harsh outdoor environments, Apacer DDR4 Rugged SODIMM has a built-in thermal sensor, which can monitor the temperature of the memory module in real time and reduce the risk of overheating.

At the same time, it supports wide temperature range operation, conformal coating and anti-sulfuration technology, and provides an additional layer of protection against environmental challenges. These value-added technologies help protect the memory module from external factors such as high temperature, high humidity, and high pollution environments, and extend the overall lifespan of the system.

Now that Apacer has released the DDR4 Rugged SODIMM, high-speed and large-capacity specifications are totally covered. In addition to the maximum supported speed of DDR4 3200 MT/s, this product is also available in a variety of capacities from 8GB to 32GB.
