Tuneable bandpass filter operates off 3.3V supply

A new 30–88MHz tunable bandpass filter and associated evaluation board from NewEdge Signal Solutions is available at Richardson RFPD with full design support. The SAX248 is designed for tactical communications applications and operates from a single 3.3 V supply.

It is capable of handling 2 W of power, while featuring a low power consumption (DC power < 80 mW) that allows for a small footprint.  

An associated evaluation board includes the filter and the interface required to allow control from any PC. 

Additional key features of the SAX248 include Insertion loss at < 4.5 dB, a tuning speed of 35µs, bandpass bandwidth at 3.5% typical, 5% max, bandpass VSWR at 1.5:1 typical: 2.0:1 max.

Dimensions are 1.2 x 0.65 x 0.25 inches.
