A new temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TXCO) from Focus EDL boasts a frequency stability over temperature of ± .28ppm from -40°C to +85°C and an overall frequency stability of ±4.6ppm, including 20 years aging. According to the manufacturer, Raltron Electronics, the new device raises the bar in TXCO performance for many applications in communications and test and measurement.
The new Stratum III compatible TXCO is offered in a 5 x 7 x 3mm package and features a low phase noise of -90 dBc/Hz at 10hz and -150 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz. The available frequency range is 10 to 52 MHz. The family features two different outputs, Clipped Sine or CMOS. With low current consumption of 1.2 mA for Clipped Sine at 13 MHz and 2.2 mA for CMOS output version at 13 MHz. Both fixed TCXO and TCVCXO configurations are available.

Applications for the new device include wireless and wire-line communications, cellular infrastructure, point-to-point transmission, clock synchronization applications, test and measurement equipment and GPS tracking with precision hold-over accuracy.
