Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce a new SMP tool into our comprehensive RF tool portfolio designed for insertion and extraction of SMP bullet adapters. This precision tool is compatible with both machined and stamped versions of the SMP bullet adapter, enabling frictionless insertions and removals. Sensitive and fragile projects can be completed with ease as the SMP bullet tool is convenient to use and makes it easier to access connectors in tight spaces. This new tool significantly reduces time spent on sensitive projects for manufacturing technicians, assembly lines and field technicians.
The SMP tool features a nickel-plated beryllium copper removable/swappable collet, and a body machined from nickel-plated brass with black delrin knobs. To remove or insert an SMP bullet, press the thumb knob fully, insert the bullet into the collet, release the knob, and either pull the centre knob to remove or press the knob again to release the bullet from the tool.
This tool joins a broad offering of RF tools designed to simplify the insertion and extraction process during installation or removal, which dramatically reduces manual labour costs.
