It comes in three models, covering frequency ranges of 20 to 500MHz, 500 to 1000MHz and 20 to 1000MHz.
Utilising high-power LDMOS technology, the amplifier is significantly smaller than competing products yet is able to deliver a wide frequency response, high gain, high peak power capability and low distortion.
Gain is specified as a minimum of 60dB at the 1dB gain compression point, maximum input return loss is -10dB, typical noise figure is 10dB, and typical IP3 is given as +69dBm. The amplifier’s specifications are guaranteed across the full bandwidth and the full operating temperature range of -10 to 50degC.
In addition to a touch-screen interface for local control, the PA incorporates Ethernet, RS232 and USB communication interfaces as well as an embedded web server for remote management and diagnostics. Using a web browser and the unit’s IP address allows ease of access with the benefit of multilevel security.
The amplifier also features built-in protection circuitry that continuously monitors critical parameters and automatically takes any necessary action to avoid damage to the unit.
