Building on its history of developing audio operational amplifiers, including the MUSES series, the NL8802 represents an entry-level model in this series. It stands out as a high-quality audio operational amplifier, striking a balance between sound quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
The NL8802 combines two high-performance operational amplifiers within a single package, enhancing circuit design flexibility and efficiency. It supports a wide operating voltage range of ±22 V, making it highly compatible with different power supply setups and ideal for integration into Hi-Fi and professional audio equipment. The amplifier is characterised by its wide dynamic range, attributed to superior audio features such as low noise, minimal distortion, broad bandwidth, and a high slew rate.
Additionally, a variant known as NL8802GQ is in development. This version will be housed in a compact, highly efficient DFN3030-8-GQ package, optimising space on circuit boards and making it especially suitable for compact portable electronic devices that require dense component mounting.
