AtlanTecRF has announced the latest addition to its range of high performance cable assemblies. The ACH series of high velocity products is available in frequency ranges of DC-18GHz, DC-26.5GHz, DC-40GHz and DC-50GHz.

With velocity of propagation of 83%, the standard assemblies are available from stock in lengths of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0m although custom assemblies can also be delivered to suit specific equipment applications. Overall cable O/D ranges from 7.8mm for the 18GHz designs to 3.6mm for the 40GHz and 50GHz versions.

All series have an operating temperature range of -55 to 165°C and installation bend radii are down to 18mm, making them suitable for use in challenging applications, military and commercial, as well for general purpose test and laboratory use.

Phase stability is a key feature at just ±5° under mechanical handling and 500ppm over the -55 to 125°C temperature range.

“This new series of high velocity and low loss cables represents another step forward in our interconnect technology offering. We always seek to provide the very best in value and performance and the ACH series do just that” said AtlanTecRF's CEO at the product announcement and launch.

In terms of insertion loss an 18GHz, 0.5m assembly exhibits only 0.4dB at the top of its frequency range while the 40GHz version has a worst case VSWR of 1.2:1. Power handling starts at 75W maximum for the ACH-CA40 and ACH-CA50 products at 40GHz to over 700W for the ACH-CA18 cable at 6GHz. All connectors are stainless steel, SMA male up to 26.5GHz, 2.92mm to 40GHz and 2.4mm to 50GHz.

Cable weight is kept low with the 18GHz weighing in at 130g/m, the 26.5GHz on the scales at 50g/m and the featherweight 40 and 50GHz at 33g/m. Standard lengths are all available from stock with short delivery times for custom assemblies.
