Sub-miniature surface-mount crystals for space-constrained applications

ACAL has announced the availability of new sub-miniature surface-mount crystals which support the growing demand for stable and accurate RF clocking in portable or handheld wireless and other space-constrained applications.

The ACT2016SMX-4 and ACT2205SMX-4 crystals from Advanced Crystal Technology (ACT) meet the growing demand for crystals which can provide enhanced long-term stability in ultra-compact packages.

The ultra-compact 4-pad seam-sealed, ceramic packages provide stability down to ±10ppm with low ageing of ±1ppm at 25 degrees Centigrade in the first year. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) can also be improved by grounding the metal lids through the two spare pads. Supporting frequencies from 24.00MHz to 60.00MHz, the ACT2016SMX-4 is offered in a space-saving 2.0 x 1.60 x 0.45mm package. The ACT2205SMX-4 has a 2.0 x 2.5 x 0.55mm package and supports frequencies from 16.00MHz to 48.00MHz.

In addition to sub-miniature crystals, ACAL Technology also provides local specialist support ACT’s full range of SAW filters, oscillators, crystals and ceramic resonators as well as ceramic filters, discriminators and traps.
