Ecliptek Introduces Alternative 2.5mm x 3.2mm SMD Oscillator Series
Ecliptek Corporation has announced the latest addition to its family of ceramic surface mount crystal clock oscillators. These new products further complement Ecliptek’s extensive offering of quartz and MEMS based frequency control products.
Spread Spectrum Clock Oscillators from Precision Devices
Precision Devices has announced the introduction of two new spread spectrum clock oscillators, the SSOC5 and SSOC7. The new SSOC5 and SSOC7 provide an efficient and economic method of reducing system EMI at its source, the clock oscillator. The modulated output frequency of the SSOC5 and SSOC7 enables EMI to be reduced by up to 15dBc relative to fixed crystal oscillators. The SSOC5 and SSOC7 operate with a 3.3V supply voltage and the CMOS clock g...
Murata's hybrid ceramic and quartz crystal resonator combines high precision, small size and low cost
Murata and Tokyo Denpa have jointly developed a hybrid crystal and ceramic resonator. The XRCGA series of Hybrid Crystal Resonators (HCRs) features a quartz crystal element manufactured by Tokyo Denpa alongside Murata's ceramic resonator technology in the same package. Murata's production technology results in smaller and lower cost devices that maintain the precision offered by the quartz crystal.
Miniature Oscillators Deliver Lower Supply Voltages with Reduced Lead Times
Ecliptek has announced the latest addition to its family of ceramic surface mount crystal clock oscillators. These new products complement Ecliptek’s extensive offering of quartz and MEMS based frequency control products.
Clock synthesisers feature very low phase-noise performance
IDT has announced the availability of the latest member of its FemtoClocks family – the FemtoClock Next Generation (NG). This new family of clock synthesisers features very low phase-noise performance and significantly improved power-supply noise rejection, allowing for increased bandwidth when used with serial interfaces.
Sub-miniature surface-mount crystals for space-constrained applications
ACAL has announced the availability of new sub-miniature surface-mount crystals which support the growing demand for stable and accurate RF clocking in portable or handheld wireless and other space-constrained applications.
Programmable Digital Voice Filters and Flexible Clocking Scheme Eliminates PLLs and Crystal Oscillators
Maxim has introduced the MAX9860, a low-power, mono audio codec with dual ADC paths and programmable digital voice filters. The device employs a flexible clocking scheme that utilizes common system-clock frequencies ranging from 10MHz to 60MHz, thereby eliminating the need for an external PLL and multiple crystal oscillators. The MAX9860 is ideal for voice headsets, digital cameras, cell phones, portable recorders, VoIP telephones, and conference...
TI expands precision timing portfolio with highly integrated clock generator family
Texas Instruments has introduced three new precision clock generators that have a crystal input, replacing up to four discrete high-frequency crystal oscillators with a single device. These devices provide a more cost-efficient solution that saves up to 50 percent more board space than competing solutions today. The CDCM61004 family improves system performance by achieving integrated RMS jitter of 500 fs, well suited for data communications equip...
Ecliptek Increases Frequency Range of 5mm x 7mm 3.3V LVCMOS Oscillators
Ecliptek Corporation has announced the increase of the available frequency range of its popular EC26 Series clock oscillators to a maximum of 200.000MHz. The EC26 (LVCMOS output) is available in a variety of configurations including frequency stability as low as ±20ppm maximum and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
266MHz Crystal Oscillator from Maxim delivers Tight Duty-Cycle Performance for DDR Applications
Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the DS4266, a 266MHz clock oscillator specifically designed for DDR memory applications. This device guarantees an extremely tight duty-cycle output of 48%/52%, and delivers RMS jitter of less than 1psRMS (12kHz to 20MHz) and cycle-to-cycle jitter of ±7.5ps (typ). It thus increases system-timing margins and enables an extremely low bit-error rate (BER) during data transfer at very high speeds. The DS4266'...
