GPEG – TFT display offers wide viewing angle

GPEG has announced its latest TFT display the FDT042 4.2 inch WQVGA module, a touch screen option, wide temperature range and availability for up to 5 years. This 4.2 inch WQVGA (432×240) resolution TFT has an exclusive option of software selectable operation in either landscape or portrait mode giving designers greater freedom of choice during the design process. With a viewing area of 97.48mm x 50.1mm the TFT will display 262k colours using the integrated ILI9326 driver chip.

This amorphous silicon-based TFT display is thin and lightweight ensuring that the display will meet critical design requirements in medical, hand held instrumentation, automotive and industrial applications.

The viewing angle of 145deg left to right in landscape mode, together with the high contrast ratio of 450:1 ensures excellent viewing in all ambient lighting conditions.
