Sized from 7” to 21.5”, our new range of durable, innovative new iDisplay embedded touch platforms, with their universal Pulse Technology core and operating on Android 4.0.4 OS, deliver a compelling interactive experience within the most demanding of commercial applications.
The iDISPLAY tablets are driven by Freescale i.MX6 platforms comprising 1.0 GHz dual core or 1.2 GHz quad core ARM Cortex A9 processors, supported by multiple GPUs providing 3D graphics. 1 or 2 GB of 64-bit DDR3 SDRAM is provided, as well as 8 or 16 GB internal Flash memory expandable with micro-SD cards. The smaller screen sizes have capacitive touch screens while the larger have SAW technology. Audio codecs and 2x2 W speakers are provided. Communications channels include Bluetooth, WiFi, wired Ethernet and 3G/4G LTE as well as GPS.

Integrators can easily enhance the tablets’ interactive functionality by choosing from a range of cable-free modules, collectively known as add-ons, which clip to either side of the tablets. Initial offerings will support retail and healthcare functions such as NFC Engagement, Card Readers, Push Buttons and Motion Sensors.

The tablets are easy to deploy and manage as well as attractive for users. Their Pulse Technology core translates years of research and experience into hardware and software capabilities that differentiate these tablets from consumer products. Functions include Auto-Power, Auto-Play Content and Password Protection. Software management is eased with a CMS-friendly environment and tools such as data analytics and Mobile Device Management (MDM). Built-in playback software is also available, and GPS communication supports location-based advertising and device tracking.

Integration and installation is made easy with a VESA mounting system and hidden control panels. Systems designers can readily build these tablets into wall panels, kiosks or other application-specific enclosures, or mount them as standalone units using andersDX’s choice of fixtures including counter stands, floor stands, wall- and shelf-mounting brackets and table brackets. The tablets themselves are constructed from durable materials, suitable for non-consumer use.

“These Tablets deliver today’s consumer device experience from rugged, commercial-grade hardware” commented Paul Mullen, Sales Director at andersDX, “With their unique scalability to 21.5”, robust software and development environment, they’re ideal for a wide range of commercial environments including healthcare, retail, museums, education and many others.”

This new range of tablets forms part of andersDX’s family of Freescale i.MX6 multicore processor-based products providing comprehensive support for systems builders. This family includes the CM-FX6 Computer on Module, SBC-FX6 single board computer and the iDISPLAY Touch Player; an Android media player that can be integrated with touch-screen monitors and traditional digital signage networks.
