Users are designing the ultimate Windows 10 tablet online

Eve-Tech and hundreds of technology enthusiasts are joining forces at eve.community platform to create the Windows 10 tablet that corporations have not been able to offer. This subversive project, named ‘Pyramid Flipper’, puts the end-user segment in charge of development and decision-making.

The crowdsourcing initiative has already attracted a global following as individuals from the UK, Russia, USA and several other countries have joined the development efforts on the community platform. Through direct and open interaction between the Finnish startup Eve-Tech and the voluntary individuals the resulting smart device is ensured to be first of its kind in user-centricity.

The decisions about design, specifications and features of the device are crowdsourced one by one on the platform. The form factor of the upcoming device has already been chosen by the members. During the following weeks the rest of the elements will be discussed and locked down. Eve-Tech states that its emphasis on the actual end-users guarantees an suitable outcome.

“Technology products today are pretty much as cold as the Finnish winter. Not only because they’re often metallic, but also because they’re never created among people, for people. No more, we make sure of that”, notes Konstantinos Karatsevidis, CEO, Eve-Tech. At eve-tech.com it is stated that everyone is invited to join the project.
